The Austin Revitalization Authority (ARA) is a community and economic development corporation celebrating over twenty years of service facilitating residential, commercial, and cultural development as well as historical preservation within the 11th and 12th Street redevelopment area. Since its inception in 1995, ARA has developed, owned, and operated over 65,000 sq. ft. of office and retail space along the 11th Street corridor. ARA has completed several historic preservation projects; both commercial and residential structures. Under residential development, ARA has constructed and/or renovated 12 affordable housing units that were sold to low income families. ARA has also facilitated, sponsored, and co-sponsored many cultural development projects throughout the East Austin community.

Artist Orientation: May 19, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm

All artist interested in displaying work at the ARA Artist Exhibition, “Reflections of Cultural Heritage: a Juneteenth Celebration of Black Freedom,”  should attend this very important orientation. At this orientation, artist will learn proper techniques for displaying art, the inner workings of art as a professional business, and view the space in which art will be exhibited through October 2016.

ARA Property Tax Town Hall Meeting @ Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center

The Austin Revitalization Authority is hosting a town hall meeting to discuss property tax issues that affect the community.

This event will be moderated by Council Member Ora Houston and participants will have the ability to take part in a question and answer session as well as receive one-on-one counseling with the Travis county Tax Assessor Office representatives.

This event will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center:
