The Austin Revitalization Authority (ARA) is a private, non-profit community development corporation working in the East 11th and 12th Street Commercial Corridors to restore the cultural and economic viability that once thrived in the area. With over 25 years of excellence, ARA is excited to launch the rebrand of the organization as a celebration to the culture and heritage of East Austin with a new look and feel that takes the foundation of the organization into a modern and clear focus for the next 25 years and beyond!
The new logo is full of symbolism and nods to ARA and its rich history.
The colors, a bright gold juxtaposed with black are respective of colors traditionally used by those of the African Diaspora, while being deliberate in visibility. The color gold symbolizes liberation, amplifying our aim to provide liberation for the Black community in East Austin through the mantra of Respect, Restore and Revitalize. The various shapes in the logo form a square representing 25 years of solid foundation building in East Austin, both literally and figuratively. Since 1995, the Austin Revitalization Authority has worked to build places and partnerships that respect, restore, and revitalize underserved communities instead of reimagining communities altogether. We also understand that various unique experiences are required to create one cohesive vision, and thus the use of various shapes in our new logo.
With the relaunch of this fresh branding, we are incredibly honored to welcome you into the new ARA vision through the relaunch of our website. Our website will now serve as a centralized hub of information for our partners, community leaders, and other stakeholders to learn about the history of our deep #EastAustinProud roots while simultaneously focusing on projects and opportunities that will create safe and sustainable spaces #BuildInEastAustin for the next seven generations.
You can visit https://arauthority.com/ on Wednesday, June 16th and experience the interactive website with our new logo and rebranding unveiling!
