1995-1999: New Visions for Central East Austin

ARA’s worked for four years with the community and the City of Austin to develop a comprehensive plan to create a sustainable neighborhood. The plan called for improved streets and sidewalks, new development, affordable housing and green spaces to attract families and neighborhood-serving businesses to the area. The East 11th and 12th Streets Community Redevelopment Plan (CRP), guided development of the East 11th and East 12th streets area bounded by IH-35, Airport Blvd., E. 7th Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
